 6-Month OCD Empowerment Program 

 This program includes:

  • Weekly 60 minute Zoom sessions
  • Personalized notes after each session
  • In between session support via the Client Log
  • Private resources site with Videos, Articles and Tools we will use in the coaching process
  • Ability to include loved ones in your coaching process

 

Program Overview:

Weeks 1-8 The Foundation 

The first 8 weeks of coaching allows us to lay a solid foundation for our work together. We will understand how OCD is affecting your life, learn the basic tools for recovery and build a support network around you. 

While we are laying this foundation, we will simultaneously be addressing your symptoms. You won’t have to wait 8 weeks before we help you to find relief. From the first session, you will have practical tools to deal with your most distressing symptoms.  Below is a general outline of our process, but we will customize and personalize it so it meets your unique needs. 

Week One: Assessment

Together we’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of how OCD is currently affecting your life and what your goals are for coaching. 

 

Week Two: Psychoeducation-Understanding your Symptoms

You will learn what parts of your brain are misfiring and why. You’ll understand what Obsessions and Compulsions are and how the cycle of OCD gets started and maintained. 

We’ll apply this knowledge to your obsessions and compulsions so you have a more empowered framework for understanding your symptoms.

 

Week Three: Psychoeducation-Understanding the Empowered Coaching Approach 

You’ll learn how to create a healthy and empowered relationship with the parts of your brain that are misfiring. You’ll learn how to see your symptoms as opportunities for healing. 

You’ll also learn the basic tools for our work together: Awareness (Understanding your Patterns), Somatic Tools (Getting your Amygdala Offline: Soothing Self-Talk, Soothing Touch, Grounding Exercises) and Cognitive Tools (Reality Testing and Cognitive Restructuring). 

 

Week Four: Creating Your Coaching Plan 

Together we’ll create your personal coaching plan to tackle your OCD symptoms. We’ll begin to build out your personal toolkit of strategies to increase your wellbeing and sense of empowerment. 

 

Week Five: Using Your Tools to Calm Your Amygdala Down

In session, we will use Somatic Tools to reduce your distress around your top 1-2 triggers. (Once we’ve soothed these areas, we can continue to address additional challenges)

 

Week Six: Using Your Tools to Calm Your Amygdala Down

In session, we will use Somatic Tools to reduce your distress around your top 1-2 triggers. (Once we’ve soothed these areas, we can continue to address additional challenges)

 

Week Seven: Building Your Support Team 

Together, we’ll explore who’d you like to be on your support team for the coaching process. We’ll discuss how to help your loved ones better understand OCD and how to support you. 

 

Week Eight: Including Loved Ones in the Coaching Process*

We’ll meet together with your loved ones. We’ll review our coaching plan, answer their questions and help them better understand how to support you. 

 

*It’s completely your decision if you want to include loved ones in the process. This can be a wonderful step to ensure you have enough support on your journey. However, if you’d prefer to skip this step, we can move directly into working on your goals. 

 

Weeks 8-20: Work on Your Goals 

We’ll focus on implementing our coaching plan together. Through a gentle and empowering approach, we’ll help you to reduce your OCD symptoms and increase your ability to function and thrive. 

 

Weeks 20-24: Celebrating, Taking Stock, Exploring Next Steps

In the final month of our coaching program, we’ll take stock of your progress and where you still need support. We’ll reassess your goals and figure out next steps. This might be continuing to work together, wrapping up our work together or exploring additional resources.  

Program Costs: $150/week ($600/month)
